EnterTRAINment Junction

Need a list of family-friendly indoor activities to keep your little ones busy? We know how important it is to have a selection of activities ready just in case you’re feeling adventurous or the weather isn’t cooperating with outdoor play. That’s why we asked TGS parents to share their favorite family-friendly indoor activities in Blue Ash. We hope you see some of your favorites and add some new ones to your list!

1. Cincinnati Children’s Museum

Head to the Cincinnati Children’s Museum for hands-on fun that allows children of all ages to explore arts, culture, reading, science, and so much more. The Children’s Museum features more than 1,800 hours of programming each year. Little ones have countless opportunities here to climb, crawl, explore, and learn about themselves and their world. Two play areas are specifically designed for preschool-aged children and younger, so this is a favorite in the area for toddlers and babies!

2. EnterTRAINment Junction

For train lovers of all ages, this indoor activity is for you! EnterTRAINment Junction has been voted Ohio’s Best Family Entertainment Center, and we are grateful to have such a fun attraction in our area. This family fun center is unlike any other. Children love the world’s largest indoor train display, and, of course, they’re always big fans of the slides, climbing, and playing in the children’s play area. The A-Maze-N Funhouse is a big hit, too! From Memorial Day through Labor Day, your little one can engineer their own locomotive around a track in a hand-cranked railroad car.

3. Kids First Sports Center

For indoor activities that get those little bodies moving, there is no better place than Kids First Sports Center. The mission behind this indoor sports complex is “to help kids grow into happy, healthy, responsible adults.” This informs everything their team creates, from programs to camps and events. Offering a wide range of activities, Kids First is the place for tumbling, soccer, leadership skills, and more. Here’s a quick link to their calendar to see what’s coming up that might interest your child!

4. Blue Ash Recreation Center

The Blue Ash Recreation Center is another family favorite in the area, thanks to its expansive list of amenities and activities available for parents and children of all ages. These include an Olympic-size swimming pool, water slides, tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, racquetball courts, a two-story fitness center, cafe, climbing wall, game room, and tot play center. You can see why there’s a little something for everyone!

5. Run Jump-N-Play

Indoor playgrounds are essential for parents who want to get their children active and help burn off their energy. No matter the weather, Run Jump-N-Play offers affordable open play (and inflatable open play when available) so your child can have hours and hours of fun. Little ones enjoy the slides, swings, basketball hoops, and state-of-the-art trampolines—and parents love the opportunity for their children to practice their motor skills.

The Gardner School Loves Blue Ash Families

Getting active, even when we want to stay indoors, is incredibly important for early childhood development. The Gardner School enjoys helping Cincinnati and Blue Ash students explore their neighborhoods, finding the spots that become the new go-tos for the entire family.
